About

Known for her rich tone and astonishing virtuosity, Liz enjoys a varied career as performer, teacher, and curator. Highlights include performing in the Cleveland Orchestra and in the Mozart Orchestra at the Festival de Música de Santa Catarina. More recently, Liz was a soloist at the San Francisco Contemporary Music Festival and Hot Air Festivals, and a collaborator with After Everything Ensemble; Ensemble Mik Nawooj; Emissary Flute Quartet; Seattle Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra; and Inverted Space Ensemble. She was a co-founder and artistic director of Phonochrome, a flexible roster chamber music ensemble in the SF Bay Area from 2013-2015.

Now based in Berlin, Liz is proud to perform as a core member and Board Member of 1781 Collective. Her solo flute project, "Toodeloo," is a Slow Art journey to learn the language of the aviary.

Music

The most common thing I hear after concerts is, "I didn't know flute could sound like that!" It is my great joy to perform music that showcases the incredible beauty and virtuosity of the flute, regardless of genre.
