Historical context

Trios for three flutes are typically from the Baroque and Classical eras. We perform exciting renditions of classical favorites from composers such as Bach, Mozart, and Tchaikovsky, and we also push the boundaries of standard flute trio music with chamber music adapted for our group. The combination of flute, alto flute, bass flute (and sometimes piccolo) in a trio setting enhances the harmonies and richness of sound by providing a diverse palette of timbres, enabling complex harmonic interplay, and allowing for expressive and nuanced performances. We offer a captivating musical experience that showcases the beauty and versatility of the flute family.
