About

Mixed State explores a range of sounds using electronics, jazz and classical standards, and original compositions. Fusing sounds together from influences ranging from Bobbi Humphrey to Emily Remler, to create a unique experience. The band also performs what are the new standards of jazz (some of which come from charts made public to the masses in Terri Lynne Carrington's "New Standards Vol. 1") by prominent women like Brandee Younger, Cindy Blackman, Alice Coltrane, and Jamie Baum.
