About

Elaine is a Korean-American classical pianist and chamber musician based in the Bay Area. She began lessons at age five and studied with John McCarthy at SFCM Pre-College, Amy Yang at the Curtis Institute while obtaining her BA at Penn, and Anthony Byrne at the Royal Irish Academy of Music.

Music

Elaine performs a range of solo and chamber music, from karaoke band gigs of pop music covers, to violin duos by Mozart, Beethoven or Schubert for holiday parties, to new composer debuts at summer festivals.

Her current repertoire for solo piano includes several romantic works such as the Beethoven 'Appassionata' Sonata in F minor, Debussy Suite Bergamasque, Chopin Ballade no.4 in F minor, and Schumann Fantasy in C Major.

She also plays chamber music and is currently performing the Brahms Piano Quintet in F minor and Mendelssohn Piano Trio in D minor.
