About
Cody Conley is a violinist studying in New York City. He has studied with Shlomo Mintz, and Benjamin Beilman, and is pursuing a Bachelor degree in the Zukerman Program at the Manhattan School of Music under Patinka Kopec and Pinchas Zukerman
He has attended programs including Indiana University Jacobs School Summer String Academy, Curtis Institute Mentor Network, and Sunflower Music Festival, and participated in masterclasses with Catherine Cho, David Kim, and Alexi Kenney This summer, he will attend Heifetz Institute
Cody has won the Pittsburgh Concert Society Competition, the Philadelphia International Music Festival Concerto Competition, and the Fuchs Chamber Competition at MSM, with additional prizes from American Young Classical Musician and Music International Grand Prix
He maintains a private violin and viola studio and served as a teaching assistant and chamber coach at PIMF in 2025. He performs on a 2017 Joseph Curtin violin with bows by F. Peccatte and J.B. Vuillaume
Music
I play mostly recitals consisting of violin and piano sonatas. I enjoy performing a large selection of Classical Romantic violin/piano sonatas as well as later composers such as Prokofiev. I also love Ysaye and Bach sonatas for solo violin.
