Gene Huang
Violinist
About
I am an amateur violinist. I took private violin lessons starting age five and played through high school. I then went 20+ years without playing much, but decided to practice regularly again in 2011. In 2014, I joined South Bay Philharmonic (SBP), a community orchestra in Silicon Valley, and in 2015 I was appointed as their concertmaster. I regularly organize small chamber groups to perform as part of SBP's concert programs. In 2017, I performed the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto with SBP, and I won an all-expense-paid trip to South Korea to perform with the inaugural Seoul International Community Orchestra.
