About

Emilie is a passionate chamber music player who loves to try out many styles of music. Primarily a classical musician, she has also dabbled in the styles of jazz, fiddling, Klezmer, and is also a serious Baroque player. She is currently the Assistant Concertmaster of the Pacific Northwest Ballet, and most recently spent a year touring the world with Lincoln Center Stage, a new and innovative chamber music production onboard the Holland America Line. She received her Master's from the Cleveland Institute of Music, and her Bachelor's in Music and Science from the University of Washington.

Music

Of course there's Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven - solo works, sonatas, string quartets. Chamber music always depends on who I'm playing with, but my favorites include the Haydn Gypsy Trio, any of Janacek's chamber repertoire, and string quartets from any genre. Recently I've been playing lots of piano quintets - Brahms, Schumann, and Dvorak!
