Peter Eom
Cello
About
Armed with a diverse set of interests ranging from art to food to literature, cellist Peter Eom strives to shape his artistic inquiries into something both intriguing and delicious.
A 2013 U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts and a 2013 Americans for the Arts Roundtable Fellow, Peter has found expansion through work with artists including the Augustin Hadelich, Peter Frankl, Joshua Bell, Robert McDonald, Peter Lloyd, Frank Morelli, and members of the Emerson, Brentano, Miró, Borromeo, and Tokyo String Quartets. He has also performed as soloist with a variety of artists and arts organizations including the National Symphony Orchestra, YoungArts, Bill T. Jones, Americans for the Arts, and Universal Music Group.
Peter currently studies with Clive Greensmith at the Colburn Conservatory of Music. He hopes to continue his slow but relentless journey, like a hungry clock, consuming the world’s intricate beauty through life and art. He does this not only to reach self-actualization, but also in the hope of contributing to our worldviews, so that the next wandering minds may unearth something even more precious than what had once been.
