About
I am a San Francisco native and recent graduate of UC Berkeley where I won the Music Department's inaugural Austin F. Williams Prize in piano performance and studied with Jeffrey Sykes. Other teachers include Jerry Kuderna and Jeremy Denk. I draw from my experiences not just as a pianist, but also as a composer, scholar, conducting student, and singer of operatic, choral, and folk music.
Music
My solo repertoire includes a range of large and small works by Bach, Brahms, Chopin, Haydn, Satie, Debussy, Mozart, Mendelssohn, and Rachmaninoff among others. My particular favorites, however, are the piano sonatas of Schubert, and I would love to share these magical and underplayed pieces in intimate house concerts. I also have a substantial repertoire of chamber music and art songs, and love to read and learn new music.
