What happens when music gives voice to the inner lives of women across generations and cultures? The Soul, Enchanted, presented by Vira + Friends, is a moving musical journey through the works of women composers from around the world, past and present. Featuring pianist Ana Glig, contralto Vira Slywotzky, and guest cellist Miriam Eckelhoefer, the program brings together richly varied musical voices and texts that are probing, pensive, and passionate.

From the expressive music of Alma Mahler, Florence Price, and Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel to contemporary voices including Vivian Fung, Lori Laitman, and Martha Redbone, the concert offers a chance to discover composers whose work deserves a wider place in the musical canon. With performers sharing stories and context about the featured artists, The Soul, Enchanted is as illuminating as it is beautiful—a celebration of the many ways women have shaped the sound of classical music. Through Groupmuse Nights Out, you can experience this intimate, thoughtfully curated program at a discounted price. 🎶
