Every so often, Friday at 8 pm we'll host piano concerts, including duets and soloists, on the parlor floor of our Brooklyn home, allowing for time to mingle and to get to know the musician after the performance.
What's the music?
While classical music is frequently thought of as mostly solemn and serious, today’s program reveals its lighter side. By highlighting the inherent grace, whimsy, and humor within these compositions, we invite you to experience another side of the masters. May this music delight you as much with its clever wit as it does with its extraordinary beauty.
Program to include:
Schubert: Sonatina in D Major
Telemann: Fantasie Piece No. 7 in E flat Major for solo violin
Wieniawski: Mazurkas (Obertass and Dudziarz)
William Kroll: Banjo and Fiddle
Schedrin: Humoresque
Tchaikovsky: Valse Scherzo
Schubert: Concert Piece
