We are delighted to welcome flamenco guitarist Andreas Arnold for an evening of live music inside Zipporah’s Temple in Uptown Manhattan.
The space was created as a home sanctuary for holistic healing work, meditation, and ceremony, and it felt natural to begin opening it to the community for gatherings of live music, botanical elixirs, and shared presence.
Flamenco guitar carries something deeply ancestral within it. Its rhythms and melodies hold emotion, history, and soul. Music that moves through the body as much as it does the ears.
Andreas will take the audience on a musical journey that moves between the earthy and archaic sounds of traditional flamenco guitar and more meditative, mystic soundscapes. Using layered loops and subtle electronic elements, he blends together rhythms and textures that feel both ancient and atmospheric, inviting listeners into a beautifully immersive sonic experience.
Andreas Arnold, a guitarist and composer dividing his time between Spain and New York, draws inspiration from the rich dialogue between flamenco, jazz, and classical traditions. His performances invite listeners into a deeply expressive musical world where cultures and musical forms meet.
In this candlelit setting at Zipporah’s Temple, the sensual sounds of Spanish guitar can be experienced up close, allowing every note and rhythm to resonate through the room.

Once we begin, the main concert space will remain focused on listening, receiving the music, and respect for everyone in the room.

We hope you will join us for an evening of connection, mystique, and warmth as ancestral sounds come alive within this New York City temple space!
What's the music?
Andreas will perform traditional flamenco guitar pieces as well as original compositions that are inspired by this very tradition.
Where does this music come from?
The flamenco guitar, which emerged in the mid-19th century, became integral to flamenco music, which has roots dating back over six centuries in Andalusia, Spain. Initially, flamenco was primarily vocal, but the guitar was introduced later to enhance the performance, evolving into a distinct instrument characterized by its lighter construction and percussive sound to accompany dancers and singers.
