Get ready for one of the most joyful, heart-expanding musical nights of the season! On Saturday, January 31 at 7:30 PM, A Far Cry brings their annual Side by Side spectacular to Jordan Hall — a high-energy, community-powered performance where the Criers share the stage shoulder-to-shoulder with rising stars from Project STEP and the New England Conservatory. The result? An electric, intergenerational super-ensemble that plays with fearless conviction, huge heart, and infectious excitement.

The program mixes shimmering Baroque elegance with bold, modern color: the folk-infused wildness of Turceasca, the luminous neoclassical grace of Stravinsky’s Apollon musagète, the vivid sonic currents of Joan Tower’s White Water, and two glowing Corelli concerti that showcase the ensemble’s signature blend of precision and freedom. It’s a thrilling musical journey — and the sheer joy of watching seasoned pros and young virtuosos create it together is unforgettable.

🎟️ Thanks to Groupmuse’s Nights Out program, you can snag deeply discounted tickets — making it easier than ever to experience one of Boston’s most inspiring musical traditions.
