🎭 Prepare to be swept into a world of divine drama and human tragedy—Handel’s Saul returns to Symphony Hall (Boston) on October 3 at 7:30 PM and October 5 at 3:00 PM — presented by the Handel & Haydn Society. And, because we're Groupmuse, we've got access to a limited number of discounted seats through our Nights Out program!

Under the baton of Jonathan Cohen, the full H+H Orchestra, Chorus, Youth Choruses, and specially invited CitySing participants unite in a monumental performance of this baroque masterwork. From the opening clash between David and Goliath to the haunting descent of a king plagued by jealousy and madness, Saul pulses with tension, sacred fervor, and vivid character arcs. With lightning-sharp orchestration, blazing trumpets, organ solos, and the iconic “Dead March” from Act III (later made famous in state funerals), this oratorio demands— and rewards—full emotional engagement. The libretto by Charles Jennens weaves biblical narrative into opera-like intensity: love, betrayal, prophecy, rage, and remorse all unfold in musical splendor.

✨ Join your fellow Groupmusers for a night of poetry, power, heart—and let Handel’s Saul bring “the past as living present” to life.

Groupmuse ticket buyers will pick up their tickets at Will Call. Seating is first come first served within designated assigned seating areas.
