NOTE! EVENT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO JULY 2 at doors: 7pm/show: 7:30pm.
Hello folks! Violist Jay Julio (jayjulio.com) here, and I'm thrilled to welcome you to a concert of new and old music at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church right next to Central Park! As one half of harp-viola duo Eleventh Hour, I've had the pleasure of working with harpist Violetta Maria Norrie for several years in original music and arrangements for this instrumental combination. We'll be taking you on a musical world tour through England, Japan, the Philippines, and the US in Holy Trinity's gorgeous sanctuary. BYO drinks and snacks!
Windows will be opened and fans used as needed for ventilation, but know that the space, while beautiful, is not air conditioned. Dress comfortably!
What's the music?
all arrangements by Eleventh Hour unless otherwise indicated
Benjamin Britten - Lachrymae
Margaret Bonds - Three Dream Portraits
Toru Takemitsu - Toward the Sea (arr. Matthew Burkett)
Nicanor Abelardo - Kundiman
Florence Price - Song to the Dark Virgin
Florence Price - Adoration
