Please join for us on Sunday, July 13th @ 4:30, for hors d'oeuvres, drinks and, most of all, a glorious summer musical voyage traversing European cultures (Austrian, German, French) and historical eras (reaching across the 19th into the early 20th century).
Cellist Keith Williams & Pianist Sarah Rasmussen (married in music and in life!) are deeply rooted in the Groupmuse world, having performed from its days of origin in Boston, then New York (as part of Julliard) and, presently, in Los Angeles, and will be the great maestros of this event!
What's the music?

An evening of masterworks for cello and piano.
Schubert: “Arpeggione” Sonata
Break
Fauré: Élégie
Fauré: Papillon (Butterfly)
Fauré: Romance
Popper: Gnomentantz
Dvorak: Silent Woods (from the Bohemian Forest)
Performed by husband-and-wife duo, Keith Williams and Sarah Rasmussen.
Where does this music come from?
The indomitable Schubert with his heavenly, virtuosic cello and piano sonata. The still under-appreciated Gabriel Fauré demonstrating his near-infinite palette of enchanting colors through his various pieces pieces for cello and piano. Dvorak’s utterly transcendent “Silent Woods”, one his most popular pieces ever composed.
The works on this program trace how three composers from three different eras - each infused with the style of their unique Austrian, French, and German upbringing and culture - successfully capture the sublime in their music.
