Join internationally acclaimed guitarist Michael Poll for an intimate evening of expressive virtuosity. With Bach’s Suite in G Minor, BWV 995, originally composed for lute, Poll brings out its intricate counterpoint and profound lyricism on a purpose-built 7-string guitar. He then turns to excerpts from his arrangement of the Bach Suite BWV 1004, and closes with Federico Moreno Torroba’s Suite Castellana, a vibrant homage to the spirit of Spain, blending folk-inspired rhythms with radiant melodies. A rare chance to hear these masterful suites in dialogue, performed by an artist of rare sensitivity and depth.
