I am so excited to welcome Melissa Lam, cellist, and Miles Graber, pianist, to play two of my favorite works by my favorite composer! Many of you know how much I adore Brahms!! And Brahms F Major Sonata was one of the pieces that was played at my very first groupmuse in 2015! What could be better than a Brahms concert in Springtime!

What's the music?

Brahms Cello Sonata No. 1 in E Minor, Op. 38
A beloved cornerstone of the cello repertoire, this sonata is rich with depth, drama, and a brooding intensity that showcases Brahms’ lyrical mastery.

Brahms Cello Sonata No. 2 in F Major, Op. 99
Vibrant and spirited, Brahms’ second cello sonata dazzles with playful brilliance, energetic allegros, and a sublime, expressive adagio.
