Join me in an intimate house concert featuring renowned pianist Isabel Keleti for a program that bridges the rich musical traditions of Germany and the Czech lands. From the expressive depths of Bach, Schubert, and Brahms to the bold voices of Janáček and Martinů, this recital explores the contrasts and connections between these two musical worlds.
About Isabel Keleti:
Isabel Keleti is an award-winning NYC-based pianist. A native of Kansas, Isabel studied for many years with Jack Winerock at the KU School of Music, before continuing her studies at the Mannes School of Music in New York City. Isabel’s deep affinity for Czech music led her to the Czech Republic as a Fulbright Scholar, where she studied with Jan Jiraský at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno. Her dedication to promoting Czech culture earned her the 2024 Gold Crystal Heart Award, recognizing her significant contributions to Czech culture in New York City.
As a performer, Isabel has garnered acclaim on international stages. In 2019, she won the ROXE MTSY International Music Competition in Xi’an and the BIMFA Solo Piano Competition in Beijing. Isabel has performed at prestigious venues, including Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, the Dvorak Museum in Prague, Bohemian National Hall, Xi’an Concert Hall, and the Lied Center in Kansas.
