Music at the Century Club is once again hosting a Sunday afternoon matinee concert on our beautiful stage in the ballroom!
🥂 This time we are hosting the Willamette University Chamber Choir for a local stop during their March tour of California.
🤵‍♂️ This is an award-winning ensemble of undergraduate college students - an ensemble that local Groupmuse musician Ian Scarfe was once a part of! Ian is happy to be acting as co-host for this event.
🎶 The Willamette University Chamber Choir, led by Director of Choral Music Dr. Anna Song, will perform a special concert of music drawn from a variety of styles, featuring compositions by Paul Hindemith, Josquin des Prez, Reena Esmail, and Oliver Tarney, as well as folk songs from Germany, Mexico, and the Philippines. The program will also include Jake Runestad's A Silence Haunts Me for piano and chorus—an impassioned work that explores heartbreak, loss, and resilience of the human spirit, inspired by Beethoven's words and music.
