    Explore the wider world of music outside Groupmuse with exclusive discounts to local concerts.

    Join your fellow groupmusers for an evening highlighting Black composers, poets, and performers. 5 Boroughs Music Festival, in partnership with the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture present the Boston-based ensemble Castle of Our Skins. For their New York City debut, the ensemble will perform a revival of their inaugural concert program entitled Love Affects, in celebration of their 10th anniversary this season.

    Love Affects pairs chamber music with text to explore how love influences our sense of self, humanity, heritage, and future. Featuring works by Charles Brown, William L. Dawson, Adolphus Hailstork, Coleridge Taylor-Perkinson, and Undine Smith Moore, Love Affects is co-curated with and features Castle of our Skins’ 3rd Annual Shirley Graham du Bois Creative in Residence, poet Angel C. Dye.

    Groupmusers should head to the Will call table at the Langston Hughes Auditorium lobby to receive their tickets. Seating is General Admission, first come first served.
