    Last Saturday, we had our first-ever live-stream Massivemuse. Our biggest groupmuse in history, folks from all over the world tuned in to share smiles, conversation, Zoom-dancing, and Ludwig van. And the reviews are in. Voices from our community:

    We were right there with you and we hear you loud and clear. For the foreseeable future, we’ll be organizing live-stream Massivemuses, to weave this community ever-more tightly together to have the resilience for whatever’s next.

    And this coming Saturday night is gonna be an utterly unique and spellbinding treat. The Russian born Alexandrov-Skliar Duo were ready for this crisis. While the rest of us were fumbling with Zoom streams and laptop cameras, this couple was way ahead of the curve. With an in-home professional-level broadcast studio complete with a remote-controlled multi-camera setup, they’re ready with an experience that sets the bar high for the rest of us imagining what a socially-distant society with thriving performing arts culture looks like.

    Oh, and also, they’re staggeringly great musicians. Both Alexey Alexandrov and Ekaterina Skliar are masters of both the mandolin and the domra - a Russian folk instrument that they wield with electrifying virtuosity. The award-winning duo has a night of Bach, Scarlatti, Albeniz, and Piazzolla - coupled with lesser-known works in a Russian folk-style at the ready.

    We’ll have a Zoom hangout beforehand, and afterward we’ll be joined by the artists for an optional Q&A (folks can go back into breakout rooms if that’s their preference; the breakout rooms are so much fun.)

    We’re charging people $3 to reserve a spot and are orienting towards a pay-what-you-will model at the performance so no one gets turned away for lack of funds.
