About

Hi! My name is Maureen Walsh and I am a classical Saxophonist. While most people think of jazz when they think of the saxophone, it is my goal to show audiences that the saxophone belongs in the world of classical music as well. While the saxophone can howl and wail, it can also play sweetly, singing like a voice. I am so excited to show you how beautiful it can sound!

Music

I am constantly creating arrangements from classical music. When giving smaller performances, I arrange music from string quartets or choir music and record the parts layered together, playing the melody line live along with the recording. This way you could hear a string quartet by Dvorak or a Concerto by Bach, all in your living room with one person. All I need is an electric outlet!
