Julia is a passionate musician based in New York City and the Washington DC area. She is currently pursuing her M.M in piano performance at New York University. Julia is a multifaceted performer who aims to bring classical music to all types of audiences and listeners. Her passion is making music accessible through communicating with audiences, and she enjoys speaking about my repertoire at concerts to provide context for her program.

Music

I don’t limit myself to any one genre or style; in addition to my primary classical piano and violin, I’ve performed in numerous jazz combos and big bands, musical theatre groups, as well as Balinese Gamelan and Japanese Koto ensembles.

I curate programs with a wide range of composers and time periods, and strive to explore connections within the program.

My concerts can feature Latin tango transcriptions alongside rarely-performed Schumann works, as well as salon classics like Chopin waltzes and Nocturnes.
