About
I am a Ugandan musician, educator, and cultural ambassador dedicated to sharing the rich musical traditions of Africa. Over the past two decades, I have toured extensively, bringing African music and its stories to audiences worldwide. My journey began in Uganda, where I was inspired by traditional musicians and rhythms, leading me to learn building my own instruments and develop a unique musical voice. Beyond performing, I run arts education programs for children and communities and work with World Bridge Foundation, an arts organization that empowers underprivileged youth through music and cultural exchange. Whether in intimate house concerts or large festival stages, my performances blend storytelling, history, and audience interaction, creating immersive experiences that bridge cultures and inspire connection.
Music
My music is deeply rooted in the folk traditions of Uganda and East Africa, drawing from centuries-old rhythms, melodies, and techniques, as well as global influences that I have come across. I incorporate instruments such as the adungu (harp), Kora, akogo (thumb piano/kalimba), Endongo, Tam (Talking drums), all which I built myself to create a distinctive sound. My style blends traditional Ugandan folk, Afro-acoustic, and contemporary African fusion. My repertoire includes original compositions, reimagined folk songs, and rhythmic explorations inspired by diverse African cultures. My performances are more than just music—they are journeys into history, storytelling, and the communal spirit of African music, inviting audiences to engage, reflect, and celebrate cultural diversity.
