 ous musical voices.\n\nThe evening will open with pianist and composer Jak
 e Hart\, performing his latest solo piano composition from memory. The wor
 k continues his project Collage\, a deeply imaginative musical language th
 at draws from a wide range of composers while creating the sensation of so
 mething unfolding spontaneously in the moment. The result is music that fe
 els both carefully crafted and completely alive.\n\nHart is signed with Su
 nnyside Records\, which released his debut album Collage on May 3\, 2024. 
 The album received praise in the Los Angeles Jazz Scene\, where reviewer S
 cott Yanow wrote that “the two Parts sound spontaneous and bridge the ga
 p between modern classical music and jazz.” Jake has also participated i
 n numerous international competitions and performed at notable venues incl
 uding Birdland Jazz Club\, Mezzrow\, and the Umbria Jazz Festival.\n\nAfte
 r an intermission\, acclaimed pianist and composer Ethan Iverson will perf
 orm a solo piano set. Iverson is known for his intellectually engaging sty
 le\, blending a deep command of jazz tradition with a modern\, adventurous
  approach.\n\nAn American jazz pianist\, composer\, and writer\, Ethan Ive
 rson is best known as a founding member of the influential trio The Bad Pl
 us\, where he helped redefine the modern piano trio by bringing together j
 azz\, rock\, classical\, and avant-garde influences. Since leaving the gro
 up in 2017\, Iverson has built an acclaimed solo career\, recorded for Blu
 e Note\, and collaborated with leading jazz artists. He is also a respecte
 d critic and educator\, known for his insightful writing on music history 
 and improvisation.\n\nSet inside Barsky Gallery\, this Groupmuse evening o
 ffers a rare chance to experience two solo piano performances up close - i
 n a setting where music\, visual art\, and creative risk meet in the same 
 room.
