 to\, and Katelyn Tan\n\nSixth Station Trio is a classically trained piano 
 trio based here in San Francisco composed of three SF natives and graduate
 s of the SF Conservatory. Sixth Station Trio debuted at San Francisco's hi
 storic Grace Cathedral in May of 2023 to a sold-out concert of 1000 people
 \, featuring "atmospheric" music from the films of Japan's Studio Ghibli. 
 (Think Oscar-winning Spirited Away (2001)\, the beloved My Neighbor Totoro
  (1988)\, and the visually stunning Howl's Moving Castle.) This catapulted
  them into already becoming one of the most successful trios of their gene
 ration\, dedicated to blending their classical backgrounds with their pass
 ion for video game and pop music. \n\nKatelyn Tan\, Piano\; Anju Goto\, Vi

 pieces) - Astor Piazzolla \nMadness - Joe Hisaishi\; from the anime film P
 orco Rosso\nGreat Fairy Fountain - Koji Kondo\nGallant Challenge - Yu Peng
  Chen\nRapid as Wildfires - Yu Peng Chen\n\nThe last 3 pieces are written 
 for the popular video game Genshin Impact! They are orchestral works writt
 en with classical technique by contemporary composers.\n\nIn addition to t
 heir Grace Cathedral performance\, locally they have been guest artists at
   Old First Concerts\, the Asian Art Museum and  SF Japantown's annual Nor
 Cal Cherry Blossom Festival. In October of 2025\, they toured to perform a
  sold-out concert at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in NYC!\n\nSixth
  Station is a reference from the classic anime film Spirited Away.  It is 
 interpreted as "in-between" space representing personal growth and the jou
 rney being more important than the destination.  Sixth Station Piano Trio 
 exemplifies this in the wide variety of music they perform including tradi
 tional classical\, film score\, video game\, contemporary classical\, and 
 pop.
