 \nViscount Thurston began piano studies at age 7. At his first public perf
 ormance at age 17\, he played Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 3 in Denv
 er\, Colorado with the orchestra led by his teacher\, Antonia Brico.  He g
 ave his debut solo recital at Denver’s Phipps Auditorium in 1973. As a g
 raduate student at the Ohio State University\, Viscount won the music scho
 ol’s concerto competition and performed Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto N
 o. 1 with the university orchestra. He completed his Doctor of Musical Art
 s degree in 1984. In 2003\, he enjoyed the opportunity to reprise his perf
 ormance of the Rachmaninov third concerto in Colorado\, this time with the
  Littleton Symphony Orchestra. Viscount performed for several years in the
  DC area’sFriday Morning Music Club. He has been a regular with the Pian
 o Society since 2007. He won First Prize in the 2010 Washington (DC) Inter
 national Piano Arts Competition and Third Prize in the 2015 Boston Piano A
 mateurs Competition. He manages leadership development programs for the Fe
 deral Aviation Administration\, and lives with his wife\, Vickie\, in Syke
 sville\, Maryland.\n\nPotLuck Dinner Buffet. Host will provide two hot hor
 s d'oeuvres & punch for potluck reception during intermission & beginning\
 , when doors open. Guests are encouraged to bring food/wine to share/potlu
 ck\; if considering a sweet\, think about fruit instead of processed sugar
 . Music begins at 3pm\, please be on time\, 2 sets with 1 short intermissi
